The guarantee is available for all Hemmet® sunglasses and eyeglasses and, by purchasing the relevant policy, also for any Hemmet® product.

Your Hemmet® product will be fully repaired or replaced. After a total loss, the insurance coverage expires. To continue protecting your product, you will need to purchase a new H|Care™ policy.

No. The warranty does not cover damage from wear and tear or those already covered by other insurance (accident or civil liability).

Yes, you must purchase a separate H|Care™ warranty for each product you wish to insure.

By renewing the policy every year, you will benefit from a discount based on the chosen plan on the annual cost, maintaining active protection.

How H|Care™ works

Thanks to H|Care™, you are entitled to receive the following services on hemmetbrand.com :

1. Insurance coverage
The insurance covers all risks to which the eyeglasses are exposed during the insurance coverage period such as breakage, even accidental, partial or total damage and/or any damage to the frame and prescription lenses. With the exclusion of the damages indicated in point 2.


1.1 Partial damage
In case of "partial damage" your glasses will be repaired in a workmanlike manner. In the event that the repair costs exceed the production cost, you will receive a new pair of glasses as in the case of "total damage", with the relevant deductibles applying (see 1.4).

1.2 Total damage
It is a "total damage" when the replacement of one or both lenses and/or the frame is necessary. In the event of "total damage" you will receive, as compensation, a new frame or one or two lenses or a pair of glasses of the same type until the maximum insured amount is reached (see 1.3) and the application of the relevant deductibles ( see 1.4).

1.3 Maximum insured amount
€100 for the frame, €75 for each lens. If the cost of the product is higher, the difference between the value of the product and the maximum insured amount will be paid.

1.4 Deductible
In case of "partial damage" you will be responsible for an excess of €10. This does not include shipping costs, which will be paid by the customer.

In the event of "total damage", you will be responsible for a deductible of €10 for the frame and €7.50 for each lens (€25 for the complete pair of glasses). The deductible applies to single vision and multi vision lenses. This does not include shipping costs, which will be paid by the customer.


2. Note
Damages covered by accident insurance or civil liability insurance are not insured. Furthermore, the insurance does not apply to damage caused by wear and tear following normal use of eyeglasses.



3. General information in case of damage
In case of damage, please inform customer service immediately. After the handling of a "total loss" the insurance coverage lapses.

However, it is always possible to take out new insurance for the glasses purchased. However, in the event of partial damage, the insurance continues to be valid unchanged according to the terms of H|Care™.
